Creamy Yogurt Jello

A creamy dessert which is fairly healthy that you can prepare in 10 minutes, and is an ideal small treat for a family of 4.

Jello Mold or Equivalent
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Box Jello (¼oz) Flavored
- 2 Cup Yogurt Chilled
- 1 Cup Berries or Fruit Optional, avoid fresh acidic fruits
In a microwave safe bowl, mix the packet of Jello into the water (1c). Mix to combine and microwave for 3:00, stopping to stir every 1 minute until the Jello is fully dissolved.
Add the yogurt (2c) and whisk to combine.
Add the fruit (1c) to your final Jello mold and pour in the Jello mixture. tap to settle and place in the refridgerator for at least 4 hours.
Serve and Enjoy!
- This will be the base for other recipes like layered jello cakes, jello molds, etc. I'll add them here as I find/ come up with them.
- Basically, the yogurt acts as the cold water step for the jello to set up.
- Acidic foods will disrupt the setting of the Jello and should be avoided.
- The melting point of this dessert is quite low. The hot water step for removal from the mold seems unnecessary.
