After 3 years of writing on and off for this blog, I’ve learned a few things so maybe I can write a better about page!
TLDR: I am a dad who likes to cook for his family and friends. I like exploring coutural foods and finding what’s tasty around the world. My food tends to have a southern, homecooked lean to it. I am not interested in making/writing fussy food or recipes.
The Whole Story:
To me, food is a universal language. Everyone eats, and almost everyone loves to eat good food. Sharing food is caveman level showing that you care for someone. Spending time learning to cook well and perfecting the craft of cooking for people is taking it to the next step. Currently, my life is all about creating good food for the people who surround me, and if some of that food is worth sharing with the world, I share it here.
In a former life, I was an analytical chemist which honed my ability to read and write recipes, among other things. I am a father to two amazing girls and husband to an amazing wife. To keep them happy, I ply them with good food when we sit down to eat as a family. So far, it’s working.
Collaboration: I would love to collaborate with other authors, bloggers, chef’s, etc. I try to keep an open mind while cooking, but I have my go to flavors. Working with others would open my eyes to things I haven’t had the guts to try, so feel free to reach out!
